Birmingham startup lands deal with New York company

October 22, 2018 – Birmingham Business Journal

Formativ Health, a New York City based technology health service company, will integrate Birmingham-based XpertDox’s technology into its platform.

Formativ Health, which works with physician practices, hospitals and health systems to manage all facets of their patients’ experiences, will use XpertDox to best match patients and providers by leveraging their database of doctors, hospitals and clinical trials.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Formativ’s staff of more than 250 patient engagement specialists who serve as the face of the practices that Formative Health manages, will now use the XpertDox database to access all relevant clinical information for patients. The practices that Formativ manages can also receive physician ratings via XpertDox to aid in coordinating the appropriate care.

XpertDox is based at Birmingham’s Innovation Depot. The company raised $1 million in a seed round earlier this year.
